FAQ

Q. Is there a meet & greet before signing up for services?

A. Yes! We offer, and generally request, a free meet & greet / consultation before proceeding with any services. The meet & greets generally take 20 - 30 minutes and can be scheduled at your home, or home or a public place - they are the best way to ensure that the animals get along and that the correct service is chosen for your pet's needs.

Q. do we sign a CONTRACTUAL agreement?

A. Alvin n' Pals does request a contractual agreement for all services over 24 hours. This helps us to ensure that we are all on the "same page" about the services and care that is provided for the animals, additionally, we do request a commitment of 3 months minimum for dog walking services.

Q. What if my pet requires one-on-one interactions?

A. Not a problem! We offer drop-in services that are the perfect alternative for animals that prefer to be the one and only. The service includes a 30 minute drop-in with bathroom breaks, cuddle and play time as well as feeding and fresh water if required. Please refer to our Service & Fees section for further details.

Q. How Many dogs attend group walks?

A. We allow 3 - 6 dogs for our group walk services. Dogs have their own personalities and sometimes that causes dogs to not be friends, in these cases, we will organize the groups to reflect dogs that interact well with one another. The dogs are normally out of the house for a total of 2 - 3 hours including the hour walk at an off-leash park within the City. Please refer to our Service & Fees section for further details.

Q. what is a walk report?

A. Once the walk is finished, you will receive an email report containing the pick-up and drop-off time, the location of the walk, and the price. Each report also includes a behavioural, favourite activity of the day and bathroom break report with a picture of your pup enjoying their time out of the house.

Q. does alvin n' pals offer dog training services?

A. As of right now, we do not offer official dog training services due to scheduling. However, we ensure that each one of our pups follows the standard commands and manners as if they were in their own home. If your dog requires extra attention on training, we are happy to accommodate our services to best fit your needs.

Q. are there REFERRAL perks

A. Yes! We sincerely appreciate referrals and as our way of saying thanks, we offer the referee and refereed clients one free hour long group or one-on-one walk for their pups.
